A chilly Tuesday night in November calls for something easy and warming without being stodgy.

Red kale, sautéed in olive oil with garlic, sundried tomatoes and kalamata olives, is brightened by lemon juice and red pepper flakes. 

We eat it with quinoa and trout, but if I’m to be honest, I could have done without either, and found myself standing over the bowl in the kitchen picking away at the leftovers. I’m such a sucker for umami flavours.
